Ink & watercolour painting of the Courtyard at Powys Castle.

This unusual view of the courtyard at Powys is dominated by the huge lead statue of Fame, borne aloft by the winged horse Pegasus.

Originally designed as a centrepiece for a fountain, it fell into neglect until it was rescued and restored by the National Trust.

Anyone who visits Powys cannot fail to be impressed.
